Wyndham hotel Choice hotels both franchisor have added fees that were not disclosed or are introducing new services as they like as a fee in the name of brand standards. As a franchisee we are left with accepting and paying those fees or loos the franchise. Most of the terms of the franchise agreement are non negotiable. It's always a one way entry. Franchisor charges a credit card processing fee if we decide to pay with credit or debit card however we are restricted from charging fees to our customers.

Franchise Fastlane and unethical franchisors are ruining franchising and countless lives. Franchise sales organizations and brokers with franchisors are continuously lying to prospective franchisees. They know the FTC won't do anything and the industry is virtually unregulated. Franchising either needs to implode or the FTC needs actually to do what they say and enforce the franchise rule. Thousands of lives are being ruined every year.

Hounds Town USA and Mike Gould provides an excellent example of why there are so many problems with franchising. Franchise sellers and brokers can make all kinds of claims to recruit franchise owners without being held to those promises.
